Telangana Political Joint Action Committee chairman Prof M Kodandaram on Friday announced that massive celebrations would be organised across the region on June 2, the Appointed Day when Telangana State would come into existence.
Speaking to media persons here, Kodandaram informed that a meeting would be held at Gun Park on June 1 from 8 PM to 12 midnight where rich tributes would be paid to the martyrs of Telangana. Similar meetings will be organised in all the villages and towns across the new State. Grand celebrations will be held on June 2 to mark the Telangana Formation Day.
Kondandaram also announced that the TPJAC would not join the TRS Government. However, he said that the JAC would fully support the government to be led by TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. He also denied having any differences with KCR. He said that the JAC would decide its future course of action after June 2. More than the posts, seeking solutions for the problems being faced by the people in the region are important, he said.
He also condemned allocation of TJAC leader Vittal Rao to Seemandhra employees. He said a representation has already been to the Chief Secretary in this regard. He also advised TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu not to interfere in the issue related to Telangana.
