TDP should tell when loans will be waived: YSRCP

Demanding the Tdp Government to categorically announce as to when the farm and DWACRA loans will be waved totally, YSR Congress has said that there was a good response to the three-day protest programme of the Party in all the 13 districts of the state.

“Tdp Government should categorically tell when the loan waiver to farmers will come into force as the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has tried to redefine who a farmer is with a mala fide intention to escape from the loan waiver scheme as he stated that farmers having Rs 1.5 lakh loan is a real farmer and anyone having an excess debt is a fraudster. This seems to be an escape route to evade the poll promise” party spokesperson Vasireddy Padma told reporters here on Friday.

The State government is in jitters seeing the response to the dharna programme our Party has taken up and TDP leaders are issuing incoherent and irrelevant statements while Chief Minister is trying to redefine who a real farmer is.

“We demand that Tdp Government should waive the 14,000 crore loans of women groups and clearly state when the farm loan waiver will come into force instead of issuing worthless statements as agriculture operations for the khariff season is on.

Bankers are denying fresh loans, documents and gold ornaments are pawned with banks and no word of assurance coming from the State, they are in distress and are becoming vulnerable to moneylenders.

The State has to come to the rescue of the farmers and we are playing the role of a constructive opposition by highlighting the failures of the Tdp Government, she said adding that TDP leaders are trying to gag the opposition party by their false statements and failure of waiving loans has put the clock of agriculture sector in state backwards.
