Hyderabad, Dec 8: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) activists on Tuesday continued their dharnas, rallies and protests across the Telangana region demanding a House resolution in favour of the T-State.As part of the protests, the TRS workers staged a rail-roko and detained a push-pull train at Moula Ali station in the city.In Adilabad district, all Government employees launched a pen-down strike demanding that the government introduce a resolution on Telangana state in the Assembly.

In Lakketepeta, the Joint Action Committee of Telangana students picketed a sub-treasury office and Tahsildar’s office urging all Telangana MLAs to support a resolution on T-state in the Legislative Assembly.Following their protest, the police arrested a few JAC members. Thousands of students staged a rasta-roko and formed a human chain at Metpalle in Karimnagar district. Traffic was disrupted for more than an hour due to the rasta roko. Police took many students into custody.In a novel protest at Zedcharla in Mahbubnagar district, the Trs Activists took out a procession led by two buffaloes on whose back they placed the effigies of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Chief Minister K Rosaiah.

The placards taken out in the procession called for a House resolution on Telangana Statehood.Expressing solidarity with the activists of theTelangana agitation, members of Rashtriya Swayam Sevak and BJP also organised a rasta-roko at Biginepalle. Activists of TRS, CPI and New Democracy picketed Mandal Praja Parishat chief’s residence at Neela in Remjal mandal in Nizamabad district.
