VHR releases booklet against Modi Government

Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao on Friday released a booklet titled "Modi Gari's U-turn Sarkar" against the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The booklet was jointly released by Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy and TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday. CLP leader in Council D Srinivas, G Sukhender Reddy and B Kamalakar were also present. Speaking on the occasion, VHR alleged that the present government at the Centre was not BJP Government but 'Modi Government'. He said Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister by making attractive promises like 'Achche Din' while exploiting people's emotions. However, he failed to achieve anything after coming to power.

VHR claimed that most of the schemes being implemented by the Modi Government were launched by the Congress party. However, the same schemes are being implemented by the Centre just by changing their names. He claimed that Narendra Modi took U-turn on several key issues within six months after coming to power. He also condemned ordinance on Insurance Bill and accused Modi Government of setting a bad precedent.

Stating that India would remain a secular country, the Congress MP slammed the BJP leaders for promoting slogans like turning India into a Hindu nation. He said everyone has a right to practice and propagate his religion in the country and accused the BJP of creating religious animosity among people.
