AP Capital plan by June: Singapore minister

Singapore Foreign Affairs Minister Shanmugam today said they would handover a master plan for new capital city of Andhra Pradesh by June this year.

Shanmugam called on AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat here and discussed on the plan for the new capital and sought to know on the government’s efforts for developing the new State.

Speaking on the occasion, Shanmugam said Singapore is coming up with a suitable master plan for Andhra Pradesh capital by June this year. The master plan will be proving handy for the new State to transform its capital city on par with world standards, Shanmugam said. He praised showers on the AP Government’s discipline, integrity and persistent efforts to develop the State.

“We have agreed to provide the master plan by seeing the skills and professionalism in urban development. Aware of these things, businessmen and investors are queuing up to rope in their businesses he said. Shanmugam also said Singapore has appointed Gopinath Pillai to promote Andhra Pradesh.
