All opposition parties have unanimously demanded that the suspension of Tdp Mlas from the Telangana Legislative Assembly for the entire budget session should be revoked.
Raising the issue in the House, BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman said that it was wrong to keep one of the main opposition party out of the House during the budget session. He reminded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had promised to review the decision on suspension of Tdp Mlas. However, no decision has been taken so far although the Tdp Mlas have already apologised.
Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy, CPI MLA Ravindra Kumar and CPM legislator Sunnam Rajaiah too demanded that the suspension of Tdp Mlas should be revoked immediately.
While welcoming the demand made by opposition parties, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy alleged that the Tdp Mlas were trying to misuse the House to push personal agenda. He said suspension from the House for entire budget session was not unprecedented and claimed that some MLAs of Maharashtra faced suspension for even two years.
Finance Minister Eatala Rajender alleged that the TDP MLA insulted the National Anthem and tried to take the House to ransom. However, he said that Assembly Speaker S Madhusudan Chary should take a decision on the issue.
Later, the Speaker announced that he would take a decision in this regard soon.
