The final expected move by Praja Rajyam Chief Chiranjeevi has come to reality as Chiranjeevi has resigned for his MLA seat. Amidst huge press people inside the party office and agitating Telangana youth outside the party office, Chiranjeevi has opened up his stand for United Andhra Pradesh.
“The huge agitation from the people of Andhra Pradesh was never expected for ‘United Andhra Pradesh’. Congress party with nearly 108 years of experience is also shocked by the stand of Seemandhra people. Congress has just become a spectator before this huge revolution.
As a change in my party’s stand and policy iam resigning for my MLA seat voluntarily without any pressure from any of my party leaders. There were long discussions held on this party’s stand with many intellectuals and senior leaders and hence we have come to a conclusion to go with ‘United Andhra Pradesh.’
Iam thankful to Telangana people for their love and affection showered on me and made my movies biggest hits. I promise that I will work for a ‘Socialist Telangana’ but not for separate Telangana,” said Chiranjeevi during the press meet showing his resignation letter to the media.
