TDP MLA A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday reiterated the allegations that sub-standard rice was being supplied in government hostels.
Speaking to media persons here, Revanth Reddy said he was ready to prove the allegations normal rice was being polished and supplied to hostels in place of fine rice. Stating that he was ready to prove his allegations, he accused Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao of shielding the 'Rice Mafia'. He said huge quantity of fine rice was being diverted to black marketing while supplying ordinary rice to the hostels and residential schools.
Revanth Reddy said that while Mining, Liquor and Sand Mafia was active earlier, now the Rice Mafia is spreading its tentacles in Telangana State causing heavy losses to the State's exchequer. He said he would expose the mafia and in case of failure, he said he was ready to face any punishment.
The TDP MLA said that several youth adopted the path of violence during statehood movement. However, after the formation of Telangana, youth are inclining towards extremism due to wrong policies of TRS Government, he said.
