Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao inaugurated 396 double bedroom houses for the weaker sections at IDH Colony here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated that the Telangana Government would construct 60,000 houses in 119 Assembly constituencies in the State at a cost of Rs. 4000 crores in the coming days. He said this kind of housing scheme was first of kind in the entire country.
Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya congratulated Kcr for turning his dream into a reality. He said that the Chief Minister was striving hard to turn Hyderabad into a World Class City. He said that the Centre would extend all required help to the State for the developmental activities. He said it was Prime Ministers Narender Modi’s vision that by 2020 all citizens in the country should have their own houses.
Earlier, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav welcomed the gathering and expressed his satisfaction over the completion of housing scheme.
GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy informed that the double bed room houses have a plinth area of 500 sft and the entire cost has been borne by the government.
Ministers Nayini Narsimha Reddy, T. Padma Rao and P. Mahender Reddy, MLA Teegala Krishna Reddy and senior officials were also present on the occasion.
