Congress MLA Komatiredy Venkatreddy has challenged Gutha Sukhender Reddy to resign as the Nalgonda MP and re-contest the elections if he thinks people were with the TRS Government.
Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, Komatireddy said both Gutha and Miryalguda MLA Bhaskar Rao should resign from their post as they were elected on Congress ticket. He said both the leaders were joining the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi for personal gains. He said if the party nominates him against Gutha, he would win the elections with a record majority to beat the Warangal by-elections record. However, he said he would ensure the victory of Congress candidate even if he is not made the candidate.
Komatireddy said that the Congress party was more important than leaders. He said it was the Congress party that gave birth to leaders like him, Gutha and others. However, he said Gutha had deceived the Congress party by deciding to join the TRS. He said Gutha's exit would not have any impact on Congress party in Nalgonda district.
