PV Narsimha Rao remembered

Glowing tributes were paid to former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao on his 95th birth anniversary on Tuesday.

Prominent leaders of different political parties offered floral tributes to the late Prime Minister at PV Gnana Bhoomi here on Tuesday.

In his message, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the former PM was instrumental in shaping the country’s economy. He said Narasimha Rao had played a major role to get justice for the people of Telangana.

Addressing a separate press conference, Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy demanded that one of the new districts in Telangana should be named after Narasimha Rao. He also reiterated the demand for conferring Bharat Ratna Award to the former Prime Minister. He reminded that KCR had promised to construct a memorial for Pv Narasimha Rao and asked him to fulfill it at the earliest.
