Srikakulam, Jan 16: The state government has released Rs 140 crores for the modernization works of Thotapalli irrigation project, stated Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao sais here on Saturday.Talking to mediamen, he said Chief Minister K Rosaiah will visit Palakonda in Srikakulam district on January 23 to lay the foundation stone for the modernisation works of Thotapalli project.According to the minister, this will be the first visit of Rosaiah to Srikakulam district in the capacity of Chief minister.
The Chief Minister will interact with the members of self-help groups (SHGs) and address a public meeting in Srikakulam on Jan 23.The Cm will also participate in other programs like laying the foundation stones for the bypass road and road widening works in the town, the minister added.Before leaving Srikakulam, the CM will take part in a meeting at the Rajiv Institute of Medical Sciences and interact with party functionaries at District Congress Committee meeting.
