Telangana Political JAC chairman Prof Kodandaram on Thursday said that that the state government did not take up reorganization of districts and mandals in a scientific manner and ignored the people’s aspirations.
Speaking at the hunger stir camp at Mogiligidda organized by the locals demanding the state government to upgrade Mogiligidda village as Mandal, the professor said that the state government was making wrong claims that it adopted scientific approach in creating new districts.
Despite the demands by the residents of Farooqnagar mandal to divide the mandal into two the government ignored it. Mogiligidda has every criteria to be upgraded as mandal, the JAC chief said. He demanded the government to honor people’s demands which the government often claims to do so.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Haragopal demanded the state government to make the process it adopted to reorganize the districts. He said that the state government which often claims to have people’s backing failed on many counts to take people’s aspirations into account while taking major decisions.
