Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has directed the officials to come up with a plan to regularise the services of outsourced employees in energy department in a phased manner.

Addressing a review meeting with top officials at his new camp office ‘Pragathi Bhavan’ on Thursday, the Chief Minister held a detailed review on various aspects including the status of power generation and supply. He appealed to the employees' unions to withdraw their strike and come forward for talks with the government. He said that the services of outsourced employees would be regularised on humanitarian grounds as they have been working for the energy department on less pay for several years. He advised the employees' unions to hold talks with Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy on Friday.

The Chief Minister said that the State Government had raised the pay scales of outsourced employees of energy department in the recent past and it was serious in resolving other issues too. He said instead of going on strike, the employees should negotiate with the government on their demands.
