Fee reimbursement dues will be cleared before March 31: KCR

The Telangana Assembly discussed the issue of fee reimbursement on Thursday also with Opposition parties alleging that the government was not allowing them enough time to speak on the issue.

Replying to the apprehensions raised by the Opposition over the delay in clearing fee sops, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the government would clear the fee reimbursement dues by March 31.  He said that orders have been already issued to clear the fee sop dues for the year 2014-15. He said that the government would take all steps to ensure that the scheme is implemented in a transparent manner and assured the students not to worry over the issue.

Stating that the government was facing some difficulties in implementation of the scheme, the CM said that the government would plug out the irregularities in the implementation of the scheme and added that an all party meeting would be conducted on the issue soon to address all issues concerning the scheme. To a question by BJP MLA Kishan Reddy that some colleges were not releasing certificates to students due to non-payment of fee, the Chief Minister said that the government would act against those colleges and assured that the issue would be addressed soon.
