BJP will emerge as alternative for TRS in 2019 polls: Lakshman

Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party would emerge as an alternative for TRS in the next General Election to be held in 2019.

Addressing the party's extended session in Bhadrachalam on Saturday, Lakshman said that the Congress party has failed to play the role of main opposition party. Therefore, the Congress party had lost people's support and also reputation for the large scale corruption its leaders had indulged in during the 10 year rule from 2004-2014, he said.

The BJP leader asked party cadre to expose the failures of TRS Government and convey the same to the masses. Further, he directed the BJP cadre to create awareness among people on the schemes being implemented by the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre. He said that the BJP needs to expand its network across all villages in 31 districts of Telangana.

Lakshman also slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for promising 12% Muslim reservation. He said that the BJP was against giving reservation on the basis of religion and it would launch a massive anti-Muslim reservation campaign.
