Hyderabad,  Jan 30: The committee proposed to be constituted by the Centre should commit to the December 9 statement made by Union Home  Minister P Chidambaram and must abide by the clear time-frame, said  all-party Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convener Prof  Kodandaram.Speakng to the media on Saturday after the  JAC  meeting here, he said these are the two main things that the JAC is expecting  and hopes the Centre will issue clear guidelines to the panel on these points.``If no time-frame is set up, the panel is likely to meet the fate of the Women’s Quota Bill,'' the convener observed.

Expressing fears over the panel in submitting its report to the Government, the convener averred that the  JAC has not discussed the nature and terms of reference of the panel and the guidelines under which it is going to function. ``But we don’t want the panel to continue aimlessly without seeing the light of the day,'' the Telangana leader  added. ``If the Centre’s announcement fails to satisfy our expectations, then we will revive our agitation till the Centre changes its stand,'' Kodandaram concluded.
