Hyderabad, Jan 30: Stern action would be initiated against all those responsible for alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Indiramma housing scheme, said Chief Minister K Rosaiah here on Saturday.Expressing his concern over the reports of misuse by officials and others in implementation of the scheme designed to provide housing for the weaker sections, Mr Rosaiah said that no one will be spared if he is found guilty of any wrongdoing.He was speaking at a review meeting of the programme in the Secretariat. Giving details about the meeting, Minister for Information J Geeta Reddy said that the Chief Minister called for fine-tuning the field-level delivery system and step up vigilance to prevent irregularities in the implementation of the programme.

She said that the government had already taken several steps to prevent any misuse of the programme like online monitoring and crediting of the amount directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries either in Post offices or commercial Banks.Giving details, she added that as on January 15, 2010, as many as 27.87 lakh houses were completed under the three phases of the programme. About 17.38 lakh houses are still at various levels of  finishing stages, while the construction of 16.93 lakh houses has yet to start.
