TRS Govt improving standard of education: Dy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari has claimed that the TRS Government was striving hard to improve the standard of education in Telangana State.

Speaking after inaugurating BC Gurukul School building in Madikonda here on Sunday, the Deputy CM said that State Government was taking several measures to improve the quality of education. In order to make quality education accessible to all children, he said that the State Government has started Gurukul schools for the students of different communities. As against 300 Gurukul schools during the last 70 years, the TRS Government started a record 540 Gurukul schools in just three years.

Srihari said that the State Government has allocated sufficient funds in the annual budget for education. He said as many as 119 BC residential schools have been established this year. He alleged that the education sector was in a state of neglect during previous regimes. Government schools lacked basic infrastructure and facilities during the rule of Congress and TDP. However, he said that the TRS Government has been spending Rs. 23 crore on each residential school every year. He said nearly 16,000 vacant posts in 540 residential schools would be filled soon.

The function was also addressed by TRS MP P. Dayakar, MLA R. Ramesh, Zilla Parishad Chairman Padma and other leaders.
