Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi has praised the functioning of Telangana Police.
During his visit to Hyderabad on Sunday, Sushil Modi visited the Panjagutta Police Station. Police Commissioner Mahender Redy and other senior officials briefed the Bihar's Dy CM on various reforms introduced by the Telangana Government in police department. The Commissioner said Friendly Policing concept was introduced to bring people closer to police department and prevent crime. He said all police stations were modernised and accountability was fixed. He said thousands of CC cameras have been installed across the city which significantly reduced crime rate.
Speaking to media persons later, Sushil Kumar Modi said he was highly impressed with the initiatives of Telangana Police in curbing crime. He also praised schemes like KCR Kits to extend financial assistance to pregnant woman and new born children. He said such schemes could be emulated in Bihar.
