Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao on Wednesday said steps were being taken to turn Hyderabad into a Logistics Hub.
Replying to various questions during Question Hour in Telangana Legislative Assembly, KTR informed that two Logistics Parks were being established on the city's outskirts, especially near Outer Ring Road. He said the proposed parks at Mangalpally and Bata Singaram would generate lot of job opportunities for the local youth. He said the park at Mangalpally would come up on 22-acres of land at a cost of Rs. 20 crore on Public-Private Partnership Mode. Similarly, the Park at Bata Singaram would come up on 40 acres of land at a cost of Rs. 36 crore.
KTR said both the Logistics Parks were expected to create new jobs for over 900 people. He said there were several opportunities to turn Hyderabad into a Logistics Hub and even Parliament's Standing Committee, in its report, have given very positive feedback on city's potential.
