Srikrishna panel to arrive on March 4

Justice B N Srikrishna Commission, appointed to make consultations on the situation in Andhra Pradesh, will visit Hyderabad on March 4 and 5 to seek suggestions and views from political parties and stakeholders on the bifurcation of state.

The panel comprising five members on Saturday said they would have wide-ranging consultations with eight recognized political parties in the state seeking their views and suggestions on the bifurcation of the state.

The Commission informed political parties the objectives of the panel, its approach to political parties, methods of eliciting information, action plan and allocation of work.

“We have chalked out a plan of action and proposed to have interactive meetings with all political parties to ascertain their views,” the members told mediamen.  

The Commission, after eliciting the views of parties, will leave for Delhi on March 5.
