Power shortage in the state is just temporary, said Ponnala Lakshmaiah, minister for Major Irrigation here on Monday.
In power consumption, Andhra Pradesh stands second in the country so the power shortage which we are facing now is not unusual, the minster observed. ``we are looking for other alternatives to overcome the problem of power shortage in the state,’’ Ponnala added.
Meanwhile the small scale industries association in the state welcomed the announcement of relaxation in power cuts by the government for the small scale industries.
The State Government has lifted power cut for small scale industries. The daily four-hour power cut has been relaxed after the Small Scale industries union leaders held talks with small scale industries minister D K Aruna.
