Botsa invites Cong and PRP MLAs for dinner

Hoping to bring about rapprochement between the Congress and  Praja  Rajyam  Party legislators through late night dinners, Panchayatraj Minister Botsa  Satyanarayana on Thursday invited all the Congress and Praja Rajyam Party MLAs  for a dinner  on March  29.

After consultations with PRP chief and actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi,  Botsa extended the invitation to the PRP chief and his party legislators.

With the State Cabinet expansion round the corner in the first week of April, the  dinner   diplomacy holds significance in  the political  circles. After Chiru has entered  politics, he has  come closer  to Botsa. Recently, Information Minister Geetha Reddy also hosted a dinner to  all Congress  MLA s at  Jala Vihar.

Focusing its strategy on the ensuing Rajya Sabaha elections, the Congress is  hoping to rope  in  PRP by yielding one  seat to PRP.  In turn, the Congress will gain support from the  PRP in local elections. This   strategy has almost materialized in the recent Greater Hyderabad  Municipal elections. The strategy for understanding with the PRP in local polls will also  be a  point for  discussion  during this dinner  diplomacy.
