Janasena Party Chief Power Star Pawan Kalyan got defeated in 2019 elections in both Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies. However, the party opened its tally. Janasena Party Candidate Rapaka Varaprasad Rao emerged victorious contesting from Razole Constituency. Except for this segment, JSP lost all the other Assembly and Lok Sabha seats.

Many opined that, Pawan Kalyan would quit politics and shift his focus to films, following massive defeat in the elections. But, Pawan Kalyan made it clear that, he has long time goals and he will continue to fight for the people.

In a press meet, Pawan Kalyan stated, “I congratulate YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and PM Narendra Modi on their spectacular win. I hope that they would fulfill Special Status promise. I thank all the people who voted for JanaSena and also the party men.”

Clarifying rumors, Pawan affirmed, “We have long term goals and we will continue to fight for the people. We have practiced new-age politics. Moreover, we didn't indulge in distributing money for votes.”

Meanwhile, psephologists suggest Pawan Kalyan to work on strengthening his party in next few years to give tough fight in the next elections!
