Jana submits report to Srikrishna panel

Former Home Minister and senior Congress leader K Jana Reddy, met the Srikrishna Committee and submitted a report on the need to constitute the Telangana state. He was accompanied by senior Congess leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy and Sarayya. 

Tipped for a berth in Rosaiah’s Cabinet in the ensuing expansion, Jana Reddy has been active on the Telangana issue. 

The leaders are finding it tough to beat the heat being generated by Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal against the division of the State. Rajagopal had already submitted six representations to the Srikrishna Committee highlighting the need for keeping the state integrated. 

Against this backdrop, the Telangana leaders are meeting the Srikrishna Committee individually and submitting their report.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Forum of the Telugu Desam is likely to meet the Committee on April 8 and submit its report in favour of Telangana.
