12-hour curfew continues

The police plans to relax curfew in the 25 police station limits of the Old City on Friday from dawn to dusk.

According to City Police Commissioner A K Khan, the curfew will be lifted for 12 hours in the Old City as the situation has improved and normalcy returned in the violence-affected areas.

However, after the Friday prayers, if there are no untoward incidents in the Old City, the curfew may further be relaxed up to 10 p.m, Khan elaborated.

The curfew would continue in Chatrinaka, Falaknamah, Moghulpura, Chandrayanagutta and Shalibanda areas till normalcy returns. Khan appealed to the people against coming out in the curfew-bound areas and advised them to conduct prayers indoors.
