Idiot. Who doesn't take an appointment before meeting All India Congress President? Every sensible man would take a prior appointment before meeting the party supremo. So did Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah. But what went wrong? UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi snubbed Rosaiah completely on Friday although he had taken an appointment. She did not show up.
Much to his dismay, the Chief Minister spent the whole day waiting for her. Why did Sonia ignore Rosaiah? Many raise their eybrows. Some political analysts have already blurted out that the State Chief Minister does not enjoy the protective blessings of the `Madam’ any longer.
Going by the facts, one can deduce that if Sonia refuses to meet a veteran leader of Rosaiah's stature, then you can be sure that his days are numbered. Thus, one can only surmise what message has been conveyed to the Chief Minister.
All said and done, Rosaiah is seking another appointement with the party boss on April 15. If all goes well by that time, then he may survive for some more time. Anyway, you can never be sure of anything in politics.
With regard to his visit to Delhi, all that Rosaiah could say was that he discussed the by-polls issue in Telangana region and the MLC elections with Union Law Minister and general secretary in-charge of Andhra Pradesh, Veerappa Moily and nothing else. This indicates that the Cabinet expansion would take place only after April 15 and that too with the blessings of Sonia Gandhi.
