The Justice B.N. Srikrishna Committee on Telangana will kick-off its consultation process on the statehood issue with political parties on April 16 when it would hear a delegation from the Telangana Rashtra Samiti in New Delhi.
TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao along with his wife Shobha and party leader Sravan left for New Delhi on Tuesday evening.
The Srikrishna panel has given the TRS a two-hour slot on April 16 to hear the views of the party. During the meeting, all committee members would be present and are expected to give a patient hearing. In fact, the TRS team can interact and discuss with the Srikrishna panel members during the meeting.
On Wednesday, other TRS leaders along with water resources expert Vidyasagar Rao will leave for Delhi to put forth their views on Telangana.
The TRS did not divulge details of the strength of the delegation or the ones who will speak during the two-hour meeting.
The Srikrishna Committee has been constituted by the Centre to go into the demands for “separate Telangana” and “united Andhra Pradesh”.
