Chiru 2 Statements On 3 Capitals: What’s True?

Former Union minister and Megastar Chiranjeevi who has been away from active politics since 2014 and has kept himself busy with films, sprang a surprise by issuing a statement on Saturday announcing his full supported to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s proposal of three capitals for Andhra Pradesh.

Chiranjeevi also appealed to people that they must welcome the proposal, which according to him is aimed at achieving comprehensive development of the state. “I am confident that the Chief Minister has a planned approach for overall development of the state,” he stated.

Meanwhile, a statement of Chiranjeevi is going viral in social media. “I’m away from politics and my main focus is on films. I did not release any statement supporting or opposing three capital idea,” reads the statement.

Nonetheless, Chiranjeevi made it clear that his yesterday's statement of supporting AP government's proposal of 3 capitals was true, but, today's statement is untrue.

This is the second instance of Chiranjeevi supporting Jagan Mohan Reddy in the recent past, the first being his appreciation for enactment of the Disha legislation, making death sentence mandatory for rape convicts.
