CM launches Prajapatham, keen to complete YSR schemes

Launching the fifth phase of Prajapatham in Prakasam district here on Monday, Chief Minister K Rosaiah, reiterated that his government was committed to continuing all the welfare schemes and developmental programmes, initiated by his predecessor, late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

 Rosaiah set the ball rolling by launching the  'Prajapatham' from the remote Katarivaripalem village under Challareddypalem Gram Panchayat of Vetapalem Mandal in Prakasam district.

``We take up  the  moral  responsibility of accomplishing the welfare schemes taken up later by YSR,’’ the CM noted. Stressing the need for Prajapatham, the CM observed that no platform other than Prajapatham can solve the issues of the people better.Rosaiah urged the people to bring in the local issues to the notice of the official teams, which would tour the state from April 19 to May 14.

The official machinery, which will tour the state, will garner information from the people on issues of drinking water, power supply, implementation of National Employment Guarantee Scheme, Rajiv Arogyasri, Saaksharatha Bharati scheme, street lighting and ration supply under the Public Distribution Scheme.

Admitting that 100 percent perfection is yet to be achieved, the CM noted that mistakes might have crept in during the implementation of welfare schemes. ''However, the Government  is  ready  to  rectify its mistakes if you bring them to our  notice.''

The CM appealed to the Opposition parties not to dub the entire scheme as futile.Transport Minister S Vijaya Ramaraju, Mines Minister Balineni Srinivas Reddy, and others were present.
