Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu celebrated his 60th birthday here on Tuesday amidst much fanfare. Scores of party workers lined up in queues to greet their leader. On the occasion, the party workers donated blood in the camps organised by the TDP and the Red-Cross Society.
Chandrbabu’s brother-in-law Nandamuri Balakrishna and other members of Nandamuri family reached the TDP chief’s residence to greet him.
The former chief minister left for Medchal to spend some time with the orphans and destitutes in Krushi Trust Bhavan. After spending some time with the destitutes he donated Rs 10,000 to each orphan at the Krushi Trust Bahavan and deposited the amount in a fixed deposit.
The Telangana activists interrupted Chandrababu at Medchal Cross Roads and asked him to spell out his stand on Telangana. The police soon swung into action and arrested the agitating Telangana activists.
