Lashing out  at the failure of the Government in coming to the rescue of the common man’s health, Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu  Naidu  criticized  the State Government for lack of proper medical care  to  the common  man.

Addressing the  party workers of  Anantapur, Chittoor, Rangaredy and Guntur districts , the TDP  chief  came  down  heavily on the functioning of  Government  hospitals  in the  state. The  shortage of staff  and  medicines in the Government  hospitals  are forcing the rural people  to  go to the  private nursing homes which is a heavy burden.

Laying emphasis on Arogya  Sri,  Naidu said the Government  was undermining  the value of  Government  hospitals. The Government  was not  concerned  about  the hygienic conditions in the  municipalities. Due to unhygienic condition many  diseases  like dengue and  malaria  are spreading. Citing the slums in the outskirts of Hyderabad, he said  slums in the  capital city are in a pathetic condition.

``Whether we  are  in   power  or in the opposition we are always  concerned about the problems of the  people  and we will take up this issue in a serious way,’’ the  former  chief  observed.

Today  the party founder  NTR  and  myself   acquired  world  recognition  is because  of the  contribution made by the party  workers, he said.

Referring to the comments of a few party workers that sincere work has no recognition in the organisation, the TDP chief  explained, ``we will reward the workers who have done tireless  service to the party. Soon we will felicitate genuine workers who strove  for the welfare of  the party with laurels and awards.''
