SC adjourns Obulapuram case to April 30

The Supreme Court on Friday adjourned the case pertaining to mining areas leased out to Obulapuram Mining Company owned by Reddy brothers in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, to April 30.

 A division bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan adjourned the case following a submission made by the Survey of India officials requesting the court to give some more time to submit their report.

 The court asked the Survey of India to complete the resurvey in three mines leased out to Obulapuram Mining Company and stayed the transportation and mining operations. The court will pass further orders on the basis of the report to be submitted by the Survey of India officials.
