Visually handicapped DSC candidates on Wednesday urged Chief Minister K Rosaiah to allocate posts reserved for women to men in case enough number of women candidates are not available.
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister at his camp office, the visually challenged candidates said though some posts have been earmarked for women, the recruitment process was delayed as enough number of candidates are not available to fill the vacancies.
“If the government converts the posts reserved for women, it can fill the posts with visually challenged men so that it can complete the recruitment process,” they said.
The Chief Minister promised to look into the demand of the candidates and take a decision after discussing it with his Cabinet colleagues.
