Strengthen CM's hands: VH

Rajya Sabha MP V  Hanumantha  Rao urged the people to  strengthen the hands of Chief Minister K Rosaiah in taking the  state to reach new heights.

Speaking to the media after meeting Chief Minister, Rosaiah said the people should  support Rosaiah for three reasons  namely ``the CM is implementing the policies of  late Dr Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Besides following YSR’s welfares schemes, he has also retained almost all the ministers of YSR’s Cabinet and  is carrying on the work along with them.’’

``Finally Rosaiah is being supported  by  none other than Sonia Gandhi, so the people should lend their support  in the smooth  running  of administration,’’ the Rajya Sabha member noted.

Explaining the reasons behind his meeting the CM, VH said ``I  met him seeking his support for my Rajya Sabha membership.’’ VH had already completed two terms in the Rajya Sabha and he is seeking re-election for a third term.

When asked about Rayapati Sambasiva Rao’s comment made on the functioning of the Government on Friday, VH observed  that Rayapati made some unsavoury comments keeping in  view only the Guntur district, so I don’t have anything to say on Rayapati, he concluded.
