Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Friday paid rich tributes to portrait of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi at Gandhi Bhavan on his 19th death anniversary and recalled his services to the nation.

Talking to reporters, he recalled former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s vision of India as a technologically advanced country in the 21st century and underscored the need for increasing the country’s rate of growth.

Pradesh Congress Committee president D Srinivas, Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, Rajya Sabha member K V P Ramachandra Rao, Health Minister Danam Nagender, former PCC chief V Hanumantha Rao, MP Anjan Kumar Yadav and former minister J C Diwakar Reddy also paid floral tributes to the Rajiv portrait and recalled the services of leader for the nation.

Anti-Terrorism Day is being observed throughout the country on the occasion of death anniversary of former prime minister RajivGandhi, who had fallen to a terror attack.

The objective behind observance of the Day is to wean away the youth from the terrorist/violence cult by highlighting the suffering of the common people and showing how it is prejudicial to the national interest.
