We'll be crushed, T-NGOs complain to Srikrishna panel

The Telangana  Non-gazette officers union met  the Sri Krishna Committee, appointed by the Centre to examine the situation in Andhra Pradesh over the Telangana issue at  the Jubilee  Hall  here on Tuesday and  submitted  a  300-page report.

Expressing their  dissatisfaction  in working with  the  staff hailing from  Andhra region, they said  as long as they work with them, they would  be  suppressed. The Andhra staff are making the  service  sector, a commercial one, they alleged.

They  gave  a power  point  presentation showing the  number of  GOs  issued by  the Government  since 1956 for the  welfare  of   the  Telangana NGOs. But  none  of them was implemented sincerely,  they lamented.

The Telangana Non Government Organizations  Association's  representatives who met  the panel said ''most of the grants are grabbed  by the  Andhra NGOs.''

According  to  the Telangana  unions, there can be no development unless a separate state of Telangana is formed.  A united state will lead to several people continuing to be denied job opportunities, and only people from the Andhra region will  prosper, they added.
