Cong tie-up to check Jagan?

Senior Congress leader Jc Diwakar Reddy on Monday denied the rumours that the party tied up with Praja Rajyam only to put a check on the loyalists of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Diwakar told newsmen that the Telangana leaders are targeting Jagan for his anti-Telangana stand and politicized the Odarpu yatra to get mileage on it.

He disagreed with the views of Telangana leaders that the Congress party encouraged tie-up with film-star-turned politician K Chiranjeevi to check activities of Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He does not see any significance in the meeting Chiranjeevi had with Congress president Sonia Gandhi as some media has exaggerated the facts. He came only to discuss the Rajya Sabha elections except that there is nothing in the meeting.
