The Praja Rajyam Party delegation led by Chiranjeevi left for Delhi on Wednesday morning. The delegation will be meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the evening and will submit a memorandum on Polavaram project.
As reported earlier Chiranjeevi took a 11-day long Polavaram yatra starting from Antarvedi in East Godavari district. His `yatra’ traversed through major districts of coastal Andhra before culminating at Polavaram. During the Polavaram yatra , the PRP chief educated the rural folk about the benefits of Polavaram project.
“The Polavaram project will be the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh. Much of the Godavari water is flowing into the sea. Exploiting its water would also benefit the second crop in the West and East Godavari districts. It will be a boon for the farmers,’’ Chiranjeevi said before leaving for Delhi.
