Chief Minister K Rosaiah on Monday launched the Badibata program at the Camp office. About 50 children in the city who left the school midway during the last couple of years were restored back to the school during this program.
The Government is spending huge funds on Education, particularly School Education in the State. The State has also been leveraging funds from the Central schemes like Sarva Siksha Abhiyaan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA) for increasing infrastructure like School Buildings, Compound Walls, and for recruitment of teachers and so on. So the parents who cannot afford to send their children to English Medium Schools or public Schools should make the best use of the prevailing opportunities, the CM felt.
As the schools reopened today, the CM called for a close monitoring of attendance in the schools, both of teachers and students.
With the enactment of Right to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009, it is expected that issues of drop-out, out-of-school children, quality of education and availability of trained teachers would be addressed in the short to medium term.
The Badibata program will continue till June 27. District Collector Gulzar Natrajan and Rajeev Vidya Mission Project official Mastanaiah took part in the program.
