Telugu Desam Party on Thursday denied that it has any connection with the vehicle, seized by police, used for transporting Rs 7 crore on Wednesday night.

According to sources, the Anantapur police seized Rs 7 crore from a Tata Safari of a mine owner belonging to Anantapur district during their routine checking near Nagireddypalli in Kadiri mandal. The police arrested two persons in this connection—Venkateswarlu and Ramakrishna Reddy.

The arrested reportedly said the money belonged to the mine owner and Tdp leader from Chittoor district Peram Haribabu.

The sources said the money was drawn from SBI branch in Hospet in Bellary district.Denying the allegations that the money belonged to him, the Tdp leader said that he has given vehicles only to his friends—Prakash and Basavaraju.

Haribabu said he did not know any thing about the money and he has no connection with it.Meanwhile, Anantapur Superintendent of Police M K Sinha stated the police will submit the money in Anantapur court.
