Pratibha to launch Krishnadevaraya fest

President Prathibha Patil has agreed to participate in the 500th coronation celebrations of Sri Krishnadevaraya to be held from July 5 to August 8 in the State, stated Information and Public Relations and Tourism Minister J Geetha Reddy.

Talking to reporters on Saturday, she said the President has consented to participate in the historical festival. Dr Reddy said the state government and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams will jointly celebrate the 500th coronation celebrations of Sri Krishnadevaraya.

 She said instructions have been given to the Department of Culture, AP Tourism Development Corporation and other departments to organise the celebrations on a grand scale.
