The Congress Party is bracing itself up to face the ensuing by-polls in Telangana to rejig its power equations in the State. In its latest endeavour to assert its supremacy in the state, the party is geared up for a thorough revamp in the organizational elections.
To this effect, the senior Congress leaders held a review meeting on Wednesday for conducting its organizational polls.
Returning officer Nachiappa and Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao were also present at the review meet.
The party's recent membership drive figured in the discussions. The members felt that the party made rapid inroads by garnering substantial support in the membership drive.
The senior leaders emphasized that astute planning and hardwork of the cadre are basic to the smooth conduct of the organizational elections.
According to sources, the scrutiny of members would be done in phases at the district and block levels.
