We aren't afraid of cases: Nayani

''We are neither scared of cases against us, nor afraid of arrests. We will fight our way to a separate Telangana,'' said senior Telangana Rashtra Samitl leader Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Saturday.

Nayani said this following the tension which prevailed at Vijay Shanti's house on Friday evening when police reached her residence to arrest the Medak MP. The police went to arrest her thrice as she made provocative statements on Telangana while addressing party workers at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday.

A case has been booked against Vijaya Shanti for violating the election code of conduct which is in force for the by-elections to 12 Assembly constituencies scheduled for July 27. 

The TRS leader said they will not protest against her arrest but they will take up this incident with the Human Rights  Commission.

In spite of the assurances given by Home Minister P Chidambaram that the Government will withdraw cases filed  against the students during the  Telangana agitation, he said the Government did not withdraw the cases.
