Bharatiya Janata Party senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday lambasted the both the Centre and State Government for soaring pries of essential commodities.
Talking to reporters, he blamed UPA government’s export policy for rise in prices. The UPA government failed to check the prices of essentials, he alleged.
He demanded that the government set up a joint parliamentary committee to look into increasing prices of essentials.
He said the proposed Bharat bandh by nearly 45 parties against soaring prices demanding a rollback of fuel prices on Monday would become a historic event in the country.
For the first time, the Left and Right are separately backing the day-long strike seeking a rollback of the fuel prices, he stated. He said the Bjp is determined to prove its strength on the streets.
