CM asks Oppn to help resolve projects row

The second day of the monsoon session of the State Assembly commenced on Thursday morning on a stormy note. At one point, Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and the Leader of Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu crossed swords in the House leading to unruly scenes.

 While the House was deliberating on a question relating to  Babli project and  Almatti, Rosaiah and Nara Chandrababu Naidu entered into a heated argument.

Naidu said the CM can solve the problem  of Babli within 10 minutes if he is serious about it.

Refuting Naidu's charges, Rosaiah asked  the TDP to take over the seat of Chief Minister for a week and resolve the Babli issue.

 ``We are committed to the farmers in the state. We will do our best for the benefit of the farmers,’’ the CM observed.

Responding to the cryptic remarks of  TDP legislators on Babli and Almatti   projects, Rosaiah asked the Opposition to assist the Government in resolving the issue.

As the TDP has a clear understanding of the Alamatti as the project began during the TDP rule, the CM asked the TDP to  prepare a report on both the projects and  forward them to the Government. The Government, in turn, will forward the report to the Centre so that the issue can be resolved for the benefit of the farmers  in the State.

 The CM was very annoyed with the interruptions and pleaded with the members to allow the House proceedings  to go on smoothly.
