Many independents out to mar poll outcome?

A good number of independent candidates have filed papers on Friday, the last day for filing nomination papers for the by-elections in the12 Assembly segments of Telangana region.

The receipt of noiminations close by 3  p.m. on Friday. In Warangal west segment alone, about 70  independent candidates have lined  up to file their nommnations.

A large number of independent candidates are filing their  nominations from each of the segments in Telangana region for the the bypolls. This seems to be a strategy adopted by Telangana Rashtra Samiiti to foil the chances of major rivals Congress ans TDP.

The independent candidates are opposed to the use of Electronic Voting Machines during the bypolls. The independents put up by the TRS are even planning to move the High Court against the use of EVMs during the by-elections.
