Telugu Desam leaders led by Kadium Srihari on Friday walked out of the all-party meet convened by Chief Minister K Rosaiah to discuss the agenda for the all-party delegation before meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on July 26 evening.
``We did not boycott, but we staged a walkout from the all-party meeting on Bablli issue,’’ said Kadiaam Srihari, a senior Telugu Desam leader here on Friday.
Chief Minister Rosaiah and Minister for Irrigation Ponnala Lakshmaiah did not give the party time at the all-party meet, so the leaders had to walkout, Srigari told newsmen.
The Tdp asked the Prime Minister to take the initiative of executing the interim order of the Supreme Court on Babli issue.
''We want the Centre to pass an order against the Maharshtra Government to halt the illegal constructions on river Godavari at Babli.
The Tdp leaders assured that their chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu will definitely make it to New Delhi to hold talks with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the Babli issue.
The Tdp leaders who walked out of the all-party meet are Erraballi Dayakar, Kadiam Srihari, Mandava Venkateswara Rao, and Nama Nageswara Rao.
