In a bid to muster support to the Babli issue Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu here on Monday called on the Janata Dal (United) president Sharad Yadav and sought his support.
Chandrababu is scheduled to meet a handful of national leaders to muster support for his party’s agitation against the illegal construction of Babli project by the Maharashtra government. Apart from Chandrababu some other TDP leaders have also participated in the meeting with Yadav.
The TDP chief is scheduled to meet the CPI(M) general secretary, Mr Prakash Karat, later in the evening.
It may be recalled that Chandrababu led a delegation of his party MPs and legislators to Maharashtra with a request to visit the Babli project site on July 16.
